Designed for children ages three to about six (65-pound maximum weight per passenger), the Power Wheels Ford F150 operates with a real steering wheel and foot pedal -- just like a real truck. Powered by a rechargeable 12-volt battery, the truck can drive up to five miles per hour. The car is designed to travel at a max of 2.5 MPH at first, when your child is a beginning driver: when he or she becomes more experienced, just remove the safety mechanism to reach maximum speed! The vehicle also features a specially designed safety braking system, which automatically stops the vehicle when the foot is removed from the pedal. The truck can also go in reverse at up to 2.5 MPH. Truckin Fun : Power Wheels Ford F150
My 4 year old daughter and the neighborhood kids love this F150. It is far easier for her to administrate and steer than her old ride on, the exiguous Tikes Hummer. Even though this is bigger, it's easier for her to steer and she enjoys taking neighbor kids for a ride. It does very well in dirt, gravel, and grass. We have some empty lots in a new subdivision near our house that she loves to drive around in and it climbs over practically all things except well large rocks or stumps. The only complaint I have is that the plastic tires are well loud on any paved covering so we tend to keep it on the grass or off-road. If it wasn't for the well loud tires, I would have given it 5 stars.
